CUSTOM DESIGN CONSULTATION
Crafting a bespoke fine jewellery piece, whether a diamond engagement ring, wedding ring, necklace or a pair of earrings, is a significant and intimate process that comprises of several crucial steps, each vital in bringing the envisioned piece to life.
Here's what you can anticipate for your custom design consultation:
1. RESERVATION & A FEE
Our design consultation fee is R600 and 1 hour in duration. The payment of the fee is to confirm your reservation and will be reimbursed to your invoice upon the purchase of your custom jewellery piece.
2. CONSULTATION WITH OUR PROPRIETOR
Meet with Charen over a cup of coffee or a glass of bubbles to discuss your vision and preferences. Share any ideas, inspirations, and specific requirements you have for the custom designed jewellery piece. Provide detailed information about the type of jewellery you are after, such as: engagement ring, wedding ring, necklace or remodelling of old jewellery. Include the style the custom designed jewellery piece, materials, stones: natural mined diamond, lab-grown diamond or gemstone, and finally budget.
3. DESIGN & CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT
Charen will create quick hand sketches, if necessary, based on your input. These sketches will serve as the foundation for the design. Review the sketches and the main design concepts with her in the consultation and provide feedback. This is the time to hone in on the main design concept.
4. DIGITAL RENDERING & 3D PRINTING
After the consultation, we will create realistic digital renders of the design. These renders will show you a lifelike representation of the finished custom designed jewellery piece. Examine the digital renders and provide any further feedback or approval on the custom design. This stage ensures that the design of the fine jewellery piece meets your expectations before moving forward and paying your quotation.
Once the digital renders are approved and deposit is paid, a 3D print of the design will be created. This prototype allows you to see and feel a physical model of your jewellery piece, especially helpful if it is an engagement ring. Review the 3D print and discuss any final adjustments needed. This is the last opportunity to make changes to the design before production. These can be sent to you or viewed in-store
5. FINAL APPROVAL AND PRODUCTION
Give your approval on the final custom design and 3D print. Once approved, we will begin crafting the actual fine jewellery piece based on the approved design and prototype.
6. THE FINAL PIECE
Once the fine jewellery piece is completed, you will be notified and arrangements will be made for delivery or pickup. Inspect the finished piece and revel in its beauty while it exceeds your expectations. Enjoy your custom-designed jewellery!
This step-by-step process ensures a collaborative and detailed approach to creating a unique piece of jewellery tailored to your desires.
